Congratulations to the four Los Angeles and two Orlando attorneys who were recently named to the 2009 "Southern California Rising Stars" and "Florida Rising Stars" lists and are included in Southern California Super Lawyers - Rising Stars Edition and Florida Super Lawyers magazine, respectively. Additionally, the Southern California Rising Stars are listed in a special section of the July 2009 edition of Los Angeles magazine
These attorneys join the 27 lawyers in the firm's Cleveland, Columbus , Denver and Houston offices who were named to the "Rising Stars" list earlier this year in their respective states.
The "Rising Stars" nomination/selection process involves asking lawyers who have been named "Super Lawyers" to nominate the best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less, in their respective state/region. They are instructed to vote for lawyers they have personally observed in action—whether as opposing counsel or co-counsel, or through other first-hand courtroom observation.
The final list of "Rising Stars" is a comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys, representing a wide range of practice areas, firm sizes and geographic locations. The "Rising Stars" selection process is designed to identify lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement and only 2.5 percent of eligible attorneys in the state/region receive this honor each year.
