Orlando partner Elizabeth Green was quoted in a December 24, 2010, Orlando Business Journal article titled, “Chapter 7, 11 Filings Hit Double-Digit Growth.” The article details how bankruptcy filings in the Orlando, Florida, area have jumped by double-digit percentages over last year. “It has been a virtual tsunami of filings,” said Green.
When asked for her outlook for the new year, Green said, “I anticipate an increase in filings in 2011—especially in commercial real estate and hospitality due to the recession and continued difficulty finding financing options.”
