Baker Hostetler Assists Wendy's in Merger With Triarc

A team of Baker Hostetler Business attorneys, led by partners Rob Weible and Matt Tenerowicz, and including partners Matt Graban, Suzanne Hanselman, Larry Lindberg and Ed Ptaszek, and associates Brian Bulson and Deanna Campbell, were counsel to the Special Committee of the Wendy's International, Inc. Board (NYSE: WEN) which conducted a thorough review of the Company's strategic alternatives culminating in a $2.3 billion merger with Triarc Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRY, TRY.B).

As reported in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, the Financial Times, The Deal, and others, the merger with Triarc, the franchisor of the Arby's restaurant system, will create the nation's third largest quick service restaurant company with 10,000 restaurants and approximately $12.5 billion in annual sales.
