Baker Hostetler Named Top Law Firm in Cleveland by Corporate Board Member Magazine
CLEVELAND, OH – June 10, 2008– Baker Hostetler has been named the top corporate law firm in Cleveland according to Corporate Board Member magazine's eighth annual survey of directors and officers of publicly traded companies listed on the NYSE, NASDAQ, or American Stock Exchange.
The results of the survey appear in the July/August 2008 issue of Corporate Board Member and on its website. The magazine's methodology precludes the firm from being a candidate for national consideration.The rankings are based on individual surveys for each market, with directors living in these areas receiving a questionnaire specific to their location which included a list of 10 local firms and two write-in options. Respondents were asked to select the five local law firms they would most likely select to aid their companies on a broad range of corporate legal issues. Baker Hostetler received the most votes from the directors and officers in the Cleveland metropolitan area.According to William S. Rukeyser, editorial director of Corporate Board Member, "These accolades are particularly meaningful because they come from the law firms' big clients." The firm will be honored at Corporate Board Member's first annual "Legal Recognition Dinner" to be held June 19, 2008, in New York City.
