Brady Douthett serves as counsel in Baker Hostetler’s Litigation Group and is resident in the Cleveland office. His practice is focused in the areas of intellectual property, complex commercial and appellate litigation.
Mr. Douthett has provided first and second chair counsel in a variety of complex jury and bench trials. His experience includes successfully defending a trial verdict concerning the constitutionality of corporate municipal tax legislation as well as successful constitutional defense of a municipal growth management ordinance—the first reported federal case on this topic in the region. Most recently, Mr. Douthett provided defense in a complex international trademark/trade secrets case that included the filing and defense of actions in Texas and Canada.
Mr. Douthett is a member of the Federal, Ohio State and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations. Following law school, where he served as Articles Editor for The Ohio State Law Journal, Mr. Douthett served as a law clerk for the Honorable Sam Bell, United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
