On September 16, 2009, New York partner John J. Carney lectured at the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) national training program for Special Agents, who are certified public accountants and who specialize in white collar investigations.
Mr. Carney, who is also a CPA and former Supervisory Assistant United States Attorney, gave a presentation to several hundred Special Agents on the topic of investigating and prosecuting violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Mr. Carney is a regular speaker at law enforcement and professional conferences on topics of securities violations, accounting fraud, and corporate misconduct.
