Cincinnati Office Adds IP Partners David Mancino & Kevin Kirsch
CINCINNATI, OH – January 15, 2010 – Baker Hostetler announced the continued expansion of its Cincinnati office with the addition of partners David A. Mancino and Kevin W. Kirsch. Mr. Mancino and Mr. Kirsch, who were most recently partners with Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, have joined the firm’s Intellectual Property, Technology and Media Group.
Mr. Mancino, who led Taft’s Patent Prosecution practice, focuses his practice on patent preparation, prosecution and litigation, IP opinion work, IP licensing, technology agreements, IP protection and business strategy. He litigates and prosecutes patents in many technical areas including: medical and surgical devices, prosthetics, software, business methods, electrical circuits, computer systems, computer networks, semiconductor device technology, jet engine technology, and many other mechanical and electro-mechanical technologies. Mr. Mancino was selected for inclusion in the 2010 edition of “The Best Lawyers in America.”
Mr. Kirsch, who led Taft’s nationwide Patent Litigation practice, focuses his practice on litigation of complex intellectual property and commercial disputes, including patent infringement, trademark, copyright, trade secrets, trade dress and domain name disputes. He has testified on patent reform in front of Congress, is a Co-author of the proposed set of Patent Local Rules for the Southern District of Ohio, is a former Chairman of the Cincinnati Bar Association Intellectual Property Committee, a member of the planning committee for the Ohio Annual Institute on Intellectual Property and on the steering committee for the University of Dayton Computer and Cyberspace Law Seminar.
