Cleveland partner Suzanne Hanselman was quoted in the April 17, 2010, Cleveland Plain Dealer article, "Personal Trips by CEOs Using Corporate Jets Begin Descent."
According to the article, a review of financial reports shows that while 11 Cleveland-area companies are giving their CEOs free passes on corporate planes, 10 of them have reduced the aircraft expense, sometimes drastically.
The shift in personal use of company planes comes after a sweeping overhaul of executive pay, as companies and workers are trying to shrug off the stubborn effects of the recession. The new rules on executive pay are stricter at pinpointing perks and how they should be valued, said Hanselman, who counsels clients on public disclosure regulations.
