Damon Barhorst joined Baker Hostetler in 2011 and works on a variety of litigation matters, including investigations in support of the firm’s role as counsel to the court-appointed Trustee under SIPA in the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.
Prior to joining Baker Hostetler, Mr. Barhorst provided legal, business and government research services for both regional and national clients of the lobbying firm Capital Partnerships LLC.
During law school, Mr. Barhorst clerked for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio, where he worked on an array of civil litigation matters. In addition, Mr. Barhorst interned as a Rules Analyst for the Ohio General Assembly’s Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review, where he analyzed rules promulgated by state agencies to insure compliance with state law. He was also an Associate Editor for the Ohio State Law Journal and Managing Editor of the Pro Bono Research Group.
Mr. Barhorst is a member of the American, Ohio State and Cincinnati Bar Associations.
