Drew B. Tipton

Drew B. Tipton has a proven record of providing innovative, quality legal services. His experience includes practicing employment law from both the plaintiff's and defendant's perspective and serving as a law clerk to the Honorable John D. Rainey, a federal judge in Houston, Texas. Mr. Tipton is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and on several occasions has been named a “Texas Super Lawyer” in the field of Labor and Employment Law and Employment Litigation.

Mr. Tipton's practice focuses on representing management in labor and employment litigation and arbitrations.  He has represented clients in state and federal courts and administrative agencies across the nation.  Mr. Tipton has made numerous appearances before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Texas Workforce Commission, the National Labor Relations Board and the National Railroad Adjustment Board. A significant portion of Mr. Tipton's practice involves unfair business practice litigation, employment torts and employment contracts. He also represents and counsels management in connection with disputes concerning employee raiding and misappropriation of trade secrets. 
 
Mr. Tipton conducts training for clients and advises on all aspects of employment issues.  He counsels employers with respect to wage and hour issues, personnel and policy manuals, and on a variety of employment matters including strategies for minimizing employment disputes and potential litigation.  Mr. Tipton has spoken frequently on a variety of employment law topics, including harassment and discrimination, motion and trial strategy, and developments and trends in employment law.

Mr. Tipton is the National Delegate for the Federal Bar Association, Southern District of Texas Chapter, and is the immediate past President of that organization.  He is also a member of the Texas Bar Foundation, the Employment Law Sections of the American, Texas and Houston Bar Associations. He is active in the American Inns of Court as well as the American Legion and the Marine Corps Association.
