Eric Becker is currently a member of the BakerHostetler team working on the investigations and litigations as Counsel to the court-appointed SIPA Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.
Prior to joining Baker Hostetler, Eric served as the only litigation law clerk for a busy downtown Cleveland law firm where he worked on a variety of litigation and creditors’ rights matters. In this position, Eric gained a wealth of writing and sophisticated litigation experience as he drafted complex pleadings, motions and research memoranda, as well as several appellate briefs filed in various Ohio Appellate Districts.
During law school, Eric was a member of the Cleveland-Marshall Moot Court Team and the Journal of Law and Health. He also served as a Senator on the Student Bar Association. To complement his academic success, Eric gained practical legal experience by serving as a legal intern for the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. Eric then secured a prestigious summer clerkship with the U.S. Coast Guard’s Judge Advocate General in Washington, D.C.
Eric is a member of the Ohio State and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations.
