ORLANDO, FL – January 8, 2010 –Baker & Hostetler LLP announced that James V. Etscorn has been appointed Managing Partner of the firm's Orlando office, effective January 1. Etscorn succeeds G. Thomas Ball, who held the position for 22 years. Ball was a name partner in one of Orlando's leading law firms which merged with Baker Hostetler in 1979. He will remain active in the firm and continue to represent clients of Baker Hostetler in his corporate, real estate and healthcare law practice.
Etscorn, who has served as Litigation Group Coordinator for the Orlando office and as Chair of the firm's national Product Liability and Toxic Tort Practice, will manage the 58 attorney office while maintaining his significant litigation practice. He will continue to represent clients in complex commercial litigation, product liability defense, healthcare litigation, real estate litigation and intellectual property litigation in federal and state courts.
