José C. Feliciano Receives “Legacy Award” from Hispanic Business Association of Ohio
CLEVELAND, OH – October 30, 2008 – José C. Feliciano, a Litigation partner in Baker Hostetler's Cleveland office and a past-President of the Cleveland Bar Association, was recently honored by the Hispanic Business Association of Ohio (HBA) with its “Legacy Award.” Mr. Feliciano received the award at the HBA's “26th Annual Entrepreneur of the year Banquet,” held October 25 in Westlake, Ohio. In his remarks, Gus Hoyas, Chairman of the HBA Board of Directors, said Mr. Feliciano's efforts on behalf of the HBA and its members echoed the banquet's theme of “Abriendo Puertas” (“Opening Doors”), including being a mentor to Mr. Hoyas and a staunch champion for the organization and its members. The HBA encourages Hispanic business development through the formation of strategic partnerships, technical assistance, educational training, and advocacy. Mr. Hoyas said the “Legacy Award” honored not only Mr. Feliciano's leadership on behalf of the HBA, but his history as a civic and business leader, an outstanding advocate for his community, and a role model for the greater Hispanic populace in Ohio. Mr. Feliciano is the founder and current Chairman of the Hispanic Roundtable of Cleveland and is also the former Chairman of the Hispanic Leadership Development Program and founder of the Hispanic Community Forum, for which he also served as President. He was also a founder of the Ohio Hispanic Bar Association and served as its Vice President.
