Ferve E. Ozturk

Ferve Ozturk focuses her practice in the areas of bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, financial restructuring and liquidations. She has significant experience with several complex liquidations and restructurings, including:

  • Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (BLMIS): an attorney on the BakerHostetler team serving as court-appointed counsel representing Irving H. Picard, SIPA Trustee for the liquidation of BLMIS.
  • In re Delphi Corp.: representation of government-sector creditor in reorganization proceedings of automotive parts manufacturer.
  • In re Eastman Kodak Co.: representation of creditor in reorganization proceedings of film and camera producer.
  • In re Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP: representation of retired partners’ group in liquidation proceeding of global law firm.
  • Representation of receiver of Michael Kenwood Capital Management, LLC, an international investment advisor located in Stamford, Connecticut, and related offshore hedge funds.

Prior to joining BakerHostetler, Ferve clerked for the Honorable Martin Glenn of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. In this role, Ferve helped administer high-profile retail-sector, tech-sector and auto-sector chapter 11 cases involving debtor-in-possession lenders, secured creditors, unsecured creditor and bondholder committees and administrative agents. Ferve also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Thomas J. McAvoy of the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York while in law school.
