Ferve Ozturk focuses her practice in the areas of bankruptcy and related litigation, including litigation against banks, hedge funds and fund services providers. Ms. Ozturk works on these matters in conjunction with Baker Hostetler’s role as counsel to the court-appointed trustee under SIPA in the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.
Prior to joining Baker Hostetler, Ms. Ozturk clerked for the Honorable Martin Glenn, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. In this role, Ms. Ozturk helped administer complex retail-sector, tech-sector and auto-sector chapter 11 cases involving debtor-in-possession lenders, secured creditors, unsecured creditor and bondholder committees and administrative agents.
During law school, Ms. Ozturk served as articles editor for the Cornell International Law Journal and managing editor for the Legal Information Institute Bulletin.
Ms. Ozturk is a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York City Bar Association and Federal Bar Council.
