Harlan Robins maintains an active commercial real estate and general business practice, with emphasis on real estate and mezzanine lending, real estate development, commercial leasing, land use and general corporate real estate services to local, regional and national clients.
He assists in the acquisition of land, development and leasing for office, hotel and shopping centers and joint venture formation. Mr. Robins has considerable experience in real estate healthcare issues. He also has extensive loan restructuring and workout experience and performs real estate-related counseling in corporate bankruptcies and reorganizations.
Mr. Robins is the national Chair of Baker Hostetler’s Real Estate Team and a member of the firm’s national Diversity Committee. He is a member of the American, Georgia, Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations and is a member of the Board of Trustees, and serves as Assistant Treasurer, of the Columbus Jewish Foundation. He also serves as Chair of the Foundation’s Jewish Education and Literacy Subcommittee.
Mr. Robins has been named in the 2006 to 2012 editions of The Best Lawyers in America, has been recognized as a “Leading Lawyer” by Chambers & Partners in the 2007 to 2011 editions of the Chambers USA Client’s Guide, has been honored as a member of the BTI Client Service All-Star Team for Law Firms 2010, has been selected in Business First: The Greater Columbus Business Authority as one of the Top Lawyers in Central Ohio for 2009, has been ranked by a peer group to be among the top real estate lawyers in Ohio (by Law and Politics Media, 2004 to 2009 and 2012) and was named to Business First’s Who’s Who in Law. Mr. Robins has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
