Thanks to Baker Hostetler’s role in providing assistance to a number of U.S. companies doing business in India, the firm was featured in a recent India Business Law Journal article on the top foreign law firms.
Baker Hostetler appeared on the list of “significant players,” which highlights firms that continued to attract an increasing amount of India-focused work during the past 12 months. The article also pointed out that Baker Hostetler is among the growing number of firms to coordinate these matters from locations other than the usual geographic hubs for India-focused work: “…At Baker Hostetler, Monica Verma, a Cleveland partner, with the assistance of Neal Seth, a partner in Washington, heads efforts to develop the firm’s India-related practice.”
The publication specifically cited the Scripps Networks proposed majority buyout of NDTV Lifestyle - a deal in which the firm, led by Steven H. Goldberg, was involved.
