Jen Vessells focuses her practice in complex litigation and class actions. She has ample experience in matters involving complex financial products and insurance. Most recently, Ms. Vessells has been involved in several matters for the trustee in the Madoff SIPA litigation, including obtaining injunctive relief in favor of the Trustee, Picard v. Fox, 429 B.R. 423 (Bankr. S.D.N.Y. 2010). Her class action experience includes defending companies against claims related to their insurance products and coverage.
While in law school, Ms. Vessells accepted an invitation based on academic achievement to join the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution and became a Managing Editor in her second year on the Journal. Ms. Vessells participated in a judicial externship with the Honorable Michael Watson of the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio, during the Fall of 2007 and received the 2008 Ernest Karam Book Award for her achievements in Legal Research and Legal Writing.
