Jessie Schweller works on a variety of litigation matters, including complex business matters and litigation involving foreign corporations. In conjunction with Baker Hostetler’s role as counsel to the court-appointed trustee under SIPA in the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, Ms. Schweller assists in the investigation and litigation of avoidance actions in the domestic and international arenas to recover assets for the fund of customer property.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Schweller worked in the New York office of a large international firm in the areas of commercial real estate and public finance. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Schweller spent several years as an information technology consultant and assisted in developing software systems for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Ms. Schweller is a member of the New York State Bar Association and New York County Lawyers’ Association.
