Joe Korpics handles a wide array of estate planning activities, from relatively straightforward domestic estate and gift tax plans to more sophisticated plans that utilize charitable giving techniques, discounted interests in family held partnerships and limited liability companies, insurance trusts, annual gift-giving programs, generation-skipping techniques and other estate planning tools. In addition, Joe handles estate administrations, including probate work and estate preservation through postmortem tax planning.
Joe is a past president of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland and is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Law Section). His articles have been published in Tax Notes Today, the Journal of Taxation, Estate Planning magazine and Crain’s Cleveland Business. In addition, Joe has spoken at a variety of venues, covering diverse topics such as general estate planning, split-dollar insurance, family limited partnerships, college tuition plans and environmental liability of corporate fiduciaries.
Prior to entering law school, Joe served as an engineer for the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
