Joel Mayo focuses his practice in the areas of real estate, real estate transactions, real estate-related financing, development and land use, with emphasis on the acquisition of real property for purposes of commercial and mixed-use development.
In connection with his practice, Mr. Mayo has successfully represented developers, purchasers, sellers, landlords, tenants and lenders through a wide variety of commercial, residential and mixed-use real estate transactions, actively participating, drafting documentation and providing counsel and representation through all phases of real property acquisition and divestment, due diligence, entitlement, financing, closing and post-closing development matters.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Mayo completed internships with the Natural Resources Section of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. This experience has proved valuable in assisting Mr. Mayo in his representation of property owners, developers, purchasers and lenders through the processes of real property acquisition, financing and development.
Mr. Mayo is a member of the American Bar Association and the Real Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association.
