During 30 years of practice, John Bruce has participated in numerous trials and appellate cases before U.S. District Courts and U.S. Courts of Appeals across the country, the U.S. Supreme Court and various state courts, specialized courts, federal administrative law judges and regulatory agencies.
Mr. Bruce has extensive experience in all aspects of antitrust and trade regulation practice before the federal courts, Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice Antitrust Division, including trial practice, appellate advocacy and mergers and acquisitions on behalf of a variety of industry clients. He has also practiced extensively in the area of international trade representing U.S. industry interests in the full range of unfair trade practices proceedings and customs disputes before the U.S. International Trade Commission, International Trade Administration, Customs Service, Court of International Trade and Federal Circuit.
Mr. Bruce represents several U.S. industry associations in the agricultural and construction industries, including cement, ceramic tile and beet sugar, dealing primarily with general antitrust, international trade, asbestos litigation and environmental issues.
Mr. Bruce is a member of the American Bar Association (Antitrust Law, Litigation, Business Law and International Law Sections), the Bar Association of the District of Columbia, the Customs Bar Association, the Federal Circuit Bar Association, the International Bar Association and the Washington Advisory Board for International Trade and Development.
