Jonathan Barra is involved in a variety of litigation, investigatory and bankruptcy matters in connection with Baker Hostetler’s role as counsel to the court-appointed Trustee under the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) in the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.
Prior to joining Baker Hostetler, Mr. Barra worked on litigation involving real estate development partners; as an extern for Federal Bankruptcy Court Judge Randolph Baxter; and as a Legal Intern in the Milton A. Kramer Community Development Clinic, where he represented a small retail business and a non-profit start-up.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Barra was a high school social studies teacher in Pittsford, New York.
Mr. Barra is a member of the American, New York, Ohio and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations.
