Joshua C. Thomas joined the Houston office of Baker Hostetler in August 2008. Mr. Thomas assists a variety of Baker Hostetler clients in areas including complex commercial litigation, construction/engineering litigation, oil and gas litigation and personal injury defense.
During law school, Mr. Thomas served as Managing Editor of the Houston Law Review and Vice President of the Student Bar Association. Mr. Thomas also participated in moot court, winning the John Black Moot Court Championship, as well as two Best Brief awards and a Best Oral Advocate award in the John R. Brown National Admiralty Moot Court Competition. Mr. Thomas interned for Justice Laura Carter Higley of the Texas First Court of Appeals and for Justice Leslie Brock Yates of the Texas Fourteenth Court of Appeals.
Before entering law school, Mr. Thomas was a project scientist for an environmental engineering and consulting firm, where he managed environmental assessment and remediation projects for a variety of industrial clients. Mr. Thomas has extensive knowledge of environmental assessment, remediation and regulation at the state and federal levels.
Mr. Thomas is a member of the Texas and Houston Bar Associations and the Houston Young Lawyers Association.
