Kathryn E. Schill

Kathryn Schill focuses her practice on white collar defense and corporate investigations. Since joining the firm in 2007, Ms. Schill has helped defend clients in criminal, civil, regulatory and administrative investigations and lawsuits brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice, the Food and Drug Administration, the Drug Enforcement Agency and the General Services Administration. Ms. Schill also has significant experience with corporate internal investigations and the defense of shareholder class action and derivative lawsuits.

During law school, Ms. Schill worked as an extern for the Honorable Judge Karen Nelson Moore on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and served as an Articles Editor for the Case Western Reserve University Law Review.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Schill spent several years working as a bioethicist at the Johns Hopkins University Phoebe R. Berman Institute of Bioethics. She has co-authored several articles in this area, including: “Moral Issues of Human-Nonhuman Primate Neural Grafting,” Science (July 2005); “Justice and Ethnicity in Stem Cell Banks,” The Lancet (July 2004); “Safety Issues in Cell-Based Intervention Trials,” Fertility and Sterility (November 2003) and “Public Stem Cell Banks: Considerations of Justice in Stem Cell Research and Therapy,” Hastings Center Report (November-December 2003). Ms. Schill currently serves on the Ethics Committee for the MetroHealth Medical Center.
