He has special experience concerning split-interest charitable gifts, distributions from “qualified” retirement plans and IRAs, structuring irrevocable trusts and transfers of closely held business interests. Mr. Robertson also has dealt extensively with the IRS at both the local and national levels in resolving federal income tax, gift tax and estate tax issues.
Mr. Robertson is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and is now serving as chairman of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section Council. He also serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Probate Law Journal of Ohio.
