Law360: Corporate Counsel Name Favorite Antitrust Attorneys

Washington, D.C., partner Lee Simowitz was quoted in the January 26, 2010, Law360 article, "Corporate Counsel Name Favorite Antitrust Attorneys."

The article focuses on The BTI Consulting Group's recent report in which more than 240 corporate counsel from large and Fortune 1000 companies identified 165 attorneys from 112 firms as top providers of client services—"Client Service All-Stars 2010." Simowitz was one of the attorneys specializing in antitrust and trade regulation who was recognized as a client service leader in the recent BTI survey. Additionally, Baker Hostetler attorneys David Holcombe and Harlan Robins were named also named All-Stars, in employment law and employee relations, and commercial real estate and general business law, respectively. According to the article, learning a client's business is one of the most important elements of client services identified by the corporate counsel surveyed, a point seconded by the BTI Client Service All-Stars. "It's really not rocket science," said Simowitz. "The one thing that's important is that you learn your client's business so that every question doesn't start at square one," he said. "You learn things over time," Simowitz added. Some knowledge comes with handling new projects and client questions, other knowledge from not being afraid to ask questions of your own, he said.
