Leigh Ann Wilson

Leigh Ann Wilson is responsible for handling a variety of employee benefits matters, including qualified pension, 401(k), ESOP and profit sharing plans, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, health and welfare benefit plans, cafeteria plans, Code Section 403(b) plans, church plans, and executive compensation issues, including compliance with Code Section 409A. Ms. Wilson also assists clients with document and compliance issues, including HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA and nondiscrimination testing, as well as retirement plan qualification and fiduciary duties and corporate governance. She has assisted clients with the correction of operational problems in qualified plans and the related filings with the IRS and Department of Labor, as well as preparing clients for audits by both agencies. In addition, she has worked with clients to prepare required Department of Insurance filings and licensure for multiple employer welfare arrangements (MEWAs) in both Ohio and Indiana.

Ms. Wilson’s previous experience includes fifteen years of benefits and compensation experience as a plan administrator and practitioner with a number of employers in the private sector, including a FORTUNE 100 manufacturer and a nonprofit hospital.

Ms. Wilson is a member of the American, Ohio and Columbus Bar Associations. She is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist, a member of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefits Specialists and a past president of the Central Ohio Chapter–ISCEBS. Ms. Wilson is a frequent speaker on employee benefits issues and has been an instructor for various CEBS courses.
