Marte Timmers is responsible for handling all aspects of litigation in family law and domestic relations.
Prior to joining the firm Ms. Timmers served as a law clerk to the Honorable H. Emory Widener Jr. for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. From 2000-2005, as a litigation associate, Ms. Timmers assisted in all aspects of commercial litigation, insurance subrogation and class action disputes, trust litigation and domestic relations matters for the firm. She has appeared in numerous state district courts and has successfully argued before the Colorado Court of Appeals. Ms. Timmers left the firm in 2005 and was appointed as magistrate judge by the Chief Presiding Judge for the Denver Juvenile Court. While on the bench, she presided over child support enforcement and parenting time cases, contempt matters and some adoptions.
In the fall of 2010, Ms. Timmers rejoined the firm as a staff attorney to utilize her experience and knowledge to represent clients in their family and personal matters.
