Matthew J. Cavanagh
Matt Cavanagh has experience advising and representing clients in a wide variety of civil litigation matters, especially in the areas of First Amendment, media law, contract, real estate, intellectual property, product liability and professional malpractice. He has represented clients before federal and state courts, both at the trial and appellate levels.
Mr. Cavanagh also advises and represents clients in employment matters, such as workers’ compensation and federal labor law.
During law school, Mr. Cavanagh received a variety of awards and honors. He also was a published member of the Case Western Reserve University Law Review.
Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Cavanagh was a mechanical engineer at LTV Steel Company (formerly one of the nation’s largest steel makers). While there, he managed capital upgrade projects at the company’s Cleveland, Ohio, facility. He also has industrial experience working for NASA and for General Electric.
