Matthew R. Raley

Matt Raley’s practice includes the representation of corporate clients in products liability, toxic tort and personal injury cases. He devotes a significant portion of his time to commercial litigation, including contract disputes, fraud and other business misconduct. Mr. Raley also has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in all stages of condemnation proceedings instituted by common carriers and the State of Texas.

Mr. Raley’s recent experience includes the following:

  • Representation of heavy equipment manufacturer in a burn fatality case. After trial, a take-nothing judgment was entered against the plaintiffs;
  • Representation of Irving H. Picard, Trustee for the SIPA liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, including the investigation and prosecution of avoidance actions;
  • Assisted in defense of international chemical manufacturer in large plant explosion case resulting in defense verdict;
  • Defense of leading wireless tower operator in eminent domain litigation and other real estate related disputes; and
  • Represention of major pipeline company in pipeline expansion project, including prosecution of numerous condemnation lawsuits.

Mr. Raley has been recognized as a “Texas Rising Star” by Texas Monthly magazine and Texas Super Lawyers.
