Matthew S. Raymer

Matt Raymer advises clients on legislative and regulatory matters and assists with the resolution of legal and other disputes, both in the United States and abroad. Mr. Raymer interacts with U.S. and foreign officials on matters involving international affairs, energy and the environment, financial regulation, intellectual property rights and other issues. He also advises clients on election law and campaign finance.

Mr. Raymer’s litigation practice focuses on issues of constitutional and international law. His relevant litigation experience includes defending against civil claims arising from the detention of enemy combatants, challenging a landmark piece of U.S. legislation as unconstitutional and defending against claims brought under RICO and the Alien Tort Statute.

Mr. Raymer is a member of the D.C. Associates Council for the Mentor Foundation, a leading international youth drug abuse-prevention organization founded by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden. While in law school, he served as Executive Articles Editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law.
