Megan P. Frient

Megan P. Frient is a partner at Baker Hostetler and concentrates her practice on antitrust litigation and counseling, complex civil litigation, and white collar criminal defense. She represents national and multinational corporations and individuals in civil and criminal price-fixing, bid-rigging, market allocation and conspiracy cases.  She regularly advises clients on antitrust and competition matters including distribution restraints, pricing, and relationships with competitors.  Ms. Frient has helped multinational corporations to formulate and implement antitrust compliance programs.  She also represents individuals and companies before grand juries investigating price-fixing, bid-rigging and market division.

Ms. Frient has significant experience defending corporations in multijurisdiction civil litigation.  She represented a U.S. defendant in federal and state actions, both class and nonclass cases, filed throughout the country, alleging a global cartel in the sale of vitamins.

Ms. Frient represents individuals and businesses in connection with investigations and prosecutions conducted by federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.  She conducts sensitive internal investigations on behalf of corporate clients pertaining to alleged wrongdoing, oversees company responses to government inquiries, and negotiates appropriate resolutions with government authorities.  

Ms. Frient represents corporations in other types of business litigation as well.  She has substantial experience litigating and advising clients on fiduciary liability issues, shareholder actions, dealer terminations, distribution, franchise, unfair competition, and intellectual property matters. 

Ms. Frient is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.  She is a member of the American Bar Association's Antitrust Section.  She also is a member of the Ohio and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations.
