Michael C. Wilde

Michael C. Wilde practices real estate, land use, environmental and corporate law, with an emphasis on transactional and real estate development matters. His practice area encompasses acquisitions, sales, office, industrial and retail leasing, planning and zoning issues, as well as “green” and sustainable development.

Mr. Wilde counsels national restaurant and hotel clients on leasing, sale-leasebacks and franchise issues. He represents clients before various state, county and city boards on land use and development matters. He also advises agencies of the state, focusing on procurement and “government in the sunshine” compliance.

Mr. Wilde’s practice involves a wide variety of other general business and commercial transactions, including financing transactions, licensing agreements, entity formation and entity restructuring. Additionally, he advises clients with regard to green development issues, including compliance with contract requirements relative to LEED® certification.

While at the University of Miami School of Law, Mr. Wilde served as a Dean's Fellow for legal research and writing and was a member of the University of Miami Business Law Review. As a member of the University of Miami Moot Court Board, he served as the Vice President for the Mock Trial Competition and First Year Moot Court Competition.

In December 2008, Mr. Wilde achieved the designation of LEED® Accredited Professional (LEED AP). In the summer of 2010, Mr. Wilde taught a real estate development class at Barry University School of Law as an adjunct professor.

Mr. Wilde currently serves on the City of Maitland Interim Improvement Committee and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties Central Florida Chapter.
