Michael Wright assists clients in a variety of corporate and finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, energy, debt finance and general business matters. Michael has extensive experience representing private equity funds, corporate entities and banks in negotiating credit facilities ranging from several million dollars to over $500 million. Michael also has represented energy companies with corporate and project development matters.
Michael has substantial experience in China, having lived in that country for over two years, and has worked with law firms in Beijing, Xiamen and Hong Kong. Prior to earning a Master of Arts in International Relations with a focus on China from Johns Hopkins University - School of Advanced International Studies, Michael studied in Nanjing at the Johns Hopkins Nanjing Center and in Beijing at Beijing Institute of Technology and Beijing Normal University, where he graduated from the Princeton in Beijing language submersion program. Michael has lived in or visited 15 provinces/municipalities in China and speaks Mandarin at an advanced level.
Michael is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
