Michelle D. Pector

Michelle D. Pector is an accomplished litigator with extensive experience in complex commercial disputes and providing innovative employment advice on a wide range of international and domestic matters. Ms. Pector has frequently litigated in federal and state courts and has appeared before various administrative agencies to resolve legal disputes, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission. Ms. Pector also has significant experience drafting commercial and employment contracts.

Ms. Pector has successfully represented the firm’s clients in matters involving energy and contract disputes, theft of trade secrets, employment litigation, compliance matters and products liability claims. During Ms. Pector’s career, she has represented a variety of dynamic corporate clients, from FORTUNE 100 corporations to individual business owners. Ms. Pector spends much of her time representing clients in the oil and gas, technology and healthcare industries.

Ms. Pector’s diverse practice focuses on engineering best practices for her clients to minimize potential litigation and maximize business results. This includes the full range of international and domestic issues concerning the employment relationship, globalizing the workforce, customizing commercial and employment contracts and addressing compliance issues.

In 2004, Ms. Pector was voted among the “Best Houston Lawyers Under 40.” From 2005 through 2009 she has been named a Texas Super Lawyer “Rising Star” by Law & Politics Media and the publishers of Texas Monthly magazine. Ms. Pector was also named in 2007 by H Texas Magazine as one of “Houston’s Top Professionals on the Fast Track.” Also in 2007, Ms. Pector was selected to the inaugural “Stakeholder 100” class by Stakeholders, Inc.

Ms. Pector serves on Baker Hostetler’s Diversity Committee and is a member of the American and Texas Bar Associations, the Asian American Bar Association, the Houston Young Lawyers Association and the Association of Women Lawyers.
