Moran Installed as President of Orlando Chapter of Federal Bar Association

ORLANDO, FL – October 5, 2009 – Marilyn G. Moran, an Employment and Labor attorney in Baker Hostetler's Orlando office, has been installed as the President of the Orlando Chapter of the Federal Bar Association for the 2009-2010 term. The Federal Bar Association strives to advance and uphold the high standards of the federal judiciary and the attorneys who practice before the federal courts, and promote cordiality and professionalism among members of the legal profession. The Orlando Chapter of the Federal Bar Association covers the Central Florida region of the Middle District of Florida and has more than 150 members from private practice, government agencies, military branches, local law schools and local courts.

Moran is part of Baker Hostetler's Employment and Labor Practice Group. Her experience spans both the public and private sectors and includes representation of employer interests in employment litigation, with an emphasis on discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, and wage and hour litigation. Before entering private practice, Moran served as a law clerk for the Honorable Gregory A. Presnell, United States District Court Judge for the Middle District of Florida. Moran also worked as an Assistant State Attorney in Sarasota, Florida.
