New E-Verify Requirement Delayed Until February 20, 2009
The Department of Homeland Security has announced that the effective date of the new rule that will mandate E-Verify use by certain federal contractors and subcontractors has been delayed from January 15, 2009 to February 20, 2009. The postponement is related to a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and others to strike down the final rule.
