Congratulations to the attorneys in each of Baker Hostetler’s offices who were named to the 2011 Super Lawyers list and the attorneys in the Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York and Orlando offices who were named to the 2011 Rising Stars list.
Super Lawyers is a comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys representing a wide range of practice areas, firm sizes and geographic locations. The selections for Super Lawyers publications are made by Law & Politics, a division of Key Professional Media, Inc., of Minneapolis.
Each year, Law & Politics undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by Law & Politics’ attorney-led research staff on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, and a good-standing and disciplinary check.
The 2011 lists are based on surveys of thousands of lawyers, and only the top five percent of lawyers, from nearly 70 practice areas, are named to the Super Lawyers list. To be named a Rising Star is a distinction given only to the top 2.5 percent of lawyers under the age of 40 or those who have been practicing law for 10 years or less.
In addition to appearing on the overall list, Partners Donna Clark and Susan Feigin Harris were named to the Top 50 Women Texas Super Lawyers 2011 list. Thomas Kruse was selected for the Top 100 Houston Texas Super Lawyers 2011 list, Joseph Chairez was named a Top 50 Orange County Super Lawyer, and David Sheehan and Oren Warshavsky were both selected as Top 100 New York Metro Super Lawyers.
