Baker Hostetler Announces New Partners

CLEVELAND, OH—January 10, 2011Baker & Hostetler LLP announced today that 12 lawyers associated with the firm have been elected to the Partnership. The new partners are in six of the firm’s 11 offices and represent clients in the practice areas of Business, Employment and Labor, Intellectual Property, Litigation and Tax.

New partner in the firm’s Cincinnati office:

  • Robert F. Morwood is a member of the Business Group and concentrates his practice in mergers and acquisitions. He earned his law degree, with honors, from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law in 2003, where he was a member of The Ohio State Law Journal. Morwood earned his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from The Ohio State University in 1998.

New partners in the firm’s Cleveland office:

  • Michael P. DeMinico is a member of the Business Group and concentrates his practice in mergers and acquisitions, commercial financing and general real estate transactions. He earned his law degree, with high honors, from The George Washington University Law School in 2003, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and The George Washington Law Journal. DeMinico earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary in 1997.
  • Grant A. Monachino is a member of the Intellectual Property, Technology and Media Group and concentrates his practice in the areas of intellectual property portfolio management and litigation. He earned his law degree, summa cum laude, from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2003, where he was a member of the Cleveland Marshall Law Review. Monachino earned his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Mount Union College in 2000.
  • Douglas R. Sergent is a member of the Employment and Labor Group and concentrates his practice in employment litigation. He earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1999. Sergent earned his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University in 1996.

New partners in the firm’s Denver office:

  • Casie D. Collignon is a member of the Litigation Group and concentrates her practice in class action defense and commercial litigation. She earned her law degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 2003, where she served as Managing Editor of the Denver University Law Review. Collignon earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Missouri in 1999.
  • Cory M. Curtis is a member of the Litigation Group and concentrates his practice in commercial litigation. He earned his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 2003, where he served as a member of the Denver University Law Review. Curtis earned his bachelor’s degree from Hope College in 1999.

New partners in the firm’s New York office:

  • S. Jeanine Conley is a member of the Litigation Group and concentrates her practice in the areas of white collar defense and corporate investigations. She earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2002. Conley earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998.
  • Keith R. Murphy is a member of the Business Group and concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, restructuring and creditors’ rights. He earned his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 1996, where he was a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. Murphy earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany in 1991.

New partner in the firm’s Orlando office:

  • Michael C. Wilde is a member of the Business Group and concentrates his practice in the areas of transactional and real estate development matters. He earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 2003, where he was a member of the University of Miami Business Law Review. Wilde earned his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University in 1999.

New partners in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office:

  • Loura L. Alaverdi is a member of the Litigation Group and concentrates her practice in commercial litigation. She earned her law degree, magna cum laude, from Southwestern University School of Law in 2001, where she served as a member of the Southwestern Law Review. Alaverdi earned her bachelor’s degree from California State University in 1998.
  • John R. Lehrer II is a member of the Tax Group and concentrates his practice in transactional tax matters and tax controversy. He earned his LL.M. degree in taxation, with distinction, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2006. Lehrer earned his law degree from the George Mason University School of Law in 1999. He earned his bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Management from Virginia Tech in 1996.
  • Michael S. Snarr is a member of the Litigation Group and concentrates his practice in international and appellate litigation. He earned his M.S.F.S. degree and his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2000. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in 1996.
