Brown to Serve as Faculty Member for PLI's Intellectual Property Law Institute

New York Partner Peter Brown is a member of the faculty for PLI’s Intellectual Property Law Institute 2010, to be held September 23-24, 2010, in New York.

Brown will present a breakout session on Copyright Internet Issues, covering a number of cases and other recent developments in this area of law. Topics will include:

  • "Interactive" services after Arista Records v. Launch Media
  • Secondary liability: Is negligence inducement?
  • DMCA safe harbors after UMG v. Veoh
  • Statutory damages after Capitol Records v. Thomas
  • J. D. Salinger v. Colting: Holden Caulfield's revenge
