Conley Becomes President of the Association of Black Women Attorneys of New York

During an October installation ceremony, New York associate S. Jeanine Conley became President of the Association of Black Women Attorneys of New York (ABWA).

ABWA promotes and supports the professional development and growth of African-American women attorneys through a variety of networking receptions, community outreach events, legislative panel discussions and programs that focus on issues of interest to women in the legal profession.

The installation event also included a reception honoring ABWA members who have been in, or are currently serving in, judiciary roles. The keynote address was provided by Loretta E. Lynch, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York.

Conley previously served on the Board of Directors for ABWA. She also serves on the Board of Early Stages, a nonprofit, as the New York City Bar representative of the New York State Bar House of Delegates and chair of the Urban Assembly School for Criminal Justice Advisory Board and as a member of the Committee on Minorities in the Profession, the National Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

At Baker Hostetler, Conley is a member of the firm’s Litigation Group and focuses her practice in the areas of white collar and corporate criminal matters, as well as general commercial litigation.
