Hatcher Receives MLK Image Award

Columbus associate Mark Hatcher was recently honored by Capital University Law School's Black Law Students Association (BLSA) with its "MLK Image Award."

When the BLSA executive board considers faculty members or alumni to receive the award, they search for a recipient who has made a mark on the students through academic service or mentorship. Specifically, this year, the board wanted to award someone who has served as a mentor to the many students at Capital.

"We selected you as the recipient because of your commitment to the students," wrote the chapter's president, David Ingram. "You always go above and beyond what is required. From career advice to networking opportunities, you always exceed our expectations. Honestly, the African American male students of the 2011 class could not have a better mentor!"

Hatcher earned an LL.M., Business and Taxation, with a concentration in Corporate Governance and Finance, and his J.D., cum laude, from Capital in 2006.
