Business Partner Ashley Hess is the incoming president-elect for the Cincinnati chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (“ACG”), a global organization with 14,000 members including professionals from private equity firms, corporations and lenders that invest in middle-market companies, as well as from law, accounting, investment banking and other firms that provide advisory services.
“With chapters in most major metropolitan cities and a growing international presence, ACG is recognized as the leading organization of its kind for the deal making community. Locally, ACG offers the best access to the Cincinnati business community,” Hess said. “The organization attracts the top talent as speakers at our events. For instance, in the last two years, both Bob McDonald, CEO of Procter & Gamble, and Dave Dillon, CEO of Kroger, have spoken at our chapter events,” Hess added.
Hess has been involved with ACG since 2002 and says that he has benefited tremendously from the education and networking available through ACG. “I have a better understanding of the local and regional business environment, and I know all the players in the local deal community. ACG is an invaluable part of my business development efforts,” says Hess.
In addition to Hess’s work with the ACG, Baker Hostetler annually serves as the lead presenting sponsor of the ACG charity golf outing and presents the contribution checks to the charities. This year’s golf outing was held on July 18.
