Partner Tom McDonald, Head of Baker Hostetler’s Government Policy Practice Group and member of the firmwide Policy Committee, the firm’s governing body, will take part in a roundtable symposium on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Cleveland. McDonald is also a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations and former U.S. Ambassador to Zimbabwe under President Clinton.
The symposium will take place at Case Western Reserve University’s Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence, Crawford Hall, Ground Level, 10900 Euclid Avenue. It is free and open to the public, but seating is limited.
The Inamori Ethics Prize Ceremony and recipient lecture will follow the symposium at 5:30 p.m. This year’s recipient is Beatrice Mtetwa, an eminent international human rights lawyer, social justice advocate and defender of freedom of the press and opposition politicians in her home country of Zimbabwe.
The lecture by Ms. Mtetwa will take place at Severance Hall, 11001 Euclid Avenue. General admission tickets are free and the event is open to the public. Business attire is encouraged. 2 CLE Credits have been requested for lawyers who attend this event.
