New York partner Marc Powers, leader of the firm's national Securities Litigation and Regulatory Enforcement practice team, has been invited by the New York State Society of CPAs to address its Broker/Dealer Conference, "The Securities Industry of 2010," to be held May 11, 2010, in New York City.
Powers will be a panelist for the session entitled "Legal and Regulatory Update," which will explore recent trends in securities law and regulation.
The conference is designed for CPAs in public practice, financial principals in the securities industry, as well as representatives of regulatory agencies. The conference aims to provide participants with an update on current matters affecting the securities industry, including accounting, auditing, and tax, plus the latest developments in legal, compliance, and regulatory issues affecting broker/dealers.
