New York partner John Siegal has been named to the Transition Committee for Attorney General-Elect Eric Schneiderman. Siegal will serve as a member of the Infrastructure/Technology/Regional Offices subcommittee.
Schneiderman created the Transition Committee to “help recruit top legal talent to join the staff of the Office of the Attorney General and to provide policy recommendations to improve the lives of New Yorkers,” according to a statement issued by the Attorney General-Elect’s office. The bipartisan Committee includes nationally recognized leaders from both the public and the private sectors.
“I am confident that with the help of this distinguished group of bipartisan leaders—reflecting a wide spectrum of geographic and cultural diversity—we will assemble an office above politics and partisanship, that seeks above all to be the best public interest law firm in America,” Schneiderman said.
At Baker Hostetler, Siegal is the New York office Litigation Coordinator, and he also serves as co-head of the firm’s national Noncompete and Trade Secrets team.
