Workman Elected to Leadership Roles in Florida Bar

Partner Donald A. Workman, head of the Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights practice in Baker Hostetler’s Washington, D.C. office, was reappointed to the Executive Council of The Florida Bar Business Law Section (BLS). In another action, the BLS recently created a new committee to liaison with the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Workman was selected as one of the first members of the committee. Workman’s accounting background and frequent speaking engagements with the FICPA made him a very suitable appointment for the new committee.

Workman was also appointed to the Judicial Liaison Committee (JLC) in the Business Law Section. The JLC serves as a forum for bankruptcy practitioners and all Florida Bankruptcy Judges to discuss issues and implement solutions on matters of concern to the Bench and Bar.

The BLS is one of the largest sections of The Florida Bar with over 4,500 members. The Executive Council serves as the governing body of the Section.

In another leadership selection in The Florida Bar, Workman was reappointed Treasurer of the Out of State Section. The Section serves over 14,000 out of state Florida lawyers. He continues to serve as Editor in Chief of the Section’s publications.
