Partner Donald A. Workman, head of the Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights practice in the Washington, D.C., office, was reappointed to the Executive Council of The Florida Bar Business Law Section (BLS). The BLS is one of the largest sections of The Florida Bar with over 5,000 members. The Executive Council serves as the governing body of the Section.
In another action, the BLS recently reappointed Workman as one of the members of the newly created committee to liaison with the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Workman was appointed this year as Vice Chair. Workman’s accounting background and frequent speaking engagements with the FICPA made him a very suitable selection for the new committee.
Workman was also appointed to the Judicial Liaison Committee (JLC) in the Business Law Section. The JLC serves as a forum for bankruptcy practitioners and all Florida Bankruptcy Judges to discuss issues and implement solutions on matters of concern to the Bench and Bar.
In another Florida Bar leadership appointment, Workman was selected as President Elect of the Out of State Division. The Division serves over 14,000 out of state Florida lawyers. He continues to serve as Editor-in-Chief of the Division’s publications.
