Parker Named Cleveland Office Litigation Coordinator

CLEVELAND, OH – DECEMBER 28, 2009 – The national law firm of Baker Hostetler announced today that John D. Parker has been appointed Litigation Coordinator for the firm's Cleveland office. He will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of nearly 50 trial lawyers in the Cleveland office. Parker succeeds Ronald S. Okada, who was named Partner-in-Charge of Baker Hostetler's recently opened Chicago office.

Parker joined the firm in 1983 and has been involved in many of the significant litigated matters handled by the Cleveland office, particularly in the areas of commercial litigation, antitrust and trade regulation and protection of proprietary information and relationships. Parker is a member of Baker Hostetler’s Policy Committee, the governing body of the firm.

Parker earned his undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University and his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He has served on the Board of Directors of a number of non-profit organizations including The Gathering Place, a cancer wellness center, and Youth Challenge, which involves disabled children in adaptive sports and recreation.

Parker is a member of the American, Ohio, and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations, including the Litigation, Antitrust and Intellectual Property Sections. He is also a member of the International Trademark Association.
