Paul P. Eyre has a depth of experience in federal and state court litigation, including numerous jury trials. He has a general business litigation practice with particular experience in the trade regulation and antitrust fields.
Over the years, Mr. Eyre has represented many of the nation’s largest corporations in antitrust litigation and investigations. Recently, he completed the representation of a major corporation in an alleged international price-fixing cartel. This representation involved appearances before U.S., Canadian and EU enforcement agencies and the defense of over 100 class action suits.
Currently, Mr. Eyre serves as lead trial counsel in a restraint of trade and monopoly case involving one of the FORTUNE 50 companies.
Because of his prior experience with the Federal Trade Commission, Mr. Eyre is often called upon to assist clients in complex FTC matters.
Mr. Eyre has served as the firm’s national Litigation Group Chair and as Managing Partner of the New York office. He currently serves on the firm’s Policy Committee, the governing body of Baker Hostetler. He served as the Regional Director of the Federal Trade Commission in Cleveland prior to joining the firm in 1982.
